TERMS OF SALE
Giulio Design Studio
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. Who we are
These terms apply to all purchases made on www.giuliodesignstudio.com from:
Giulio Camposano — Giulio Design Studio, Via Renco 50, 28923 Verbania (VB), Italy — VAT IT02722550031 — giulio@giuliodesignstudio.com — PEC giulio.camposano@pec.it
Our shop is aimed at private customers (consumers). If you are buying as a business, please contact us before ordering.
2. Our pieces
Every piece is made by hand in our studio in Italy, in stoneware ceramic. Size, form, colour and glaze may vary slightly from the photographs and from piece to piece: this is part of the handmade process and is not a defect. Product descriptions state the approximate dimensions, capacity and care instructions of each piece.
3. How to order
You place an order by adding pieces to your cart, entering your details and completing payment at checkout. The contract is concluded when you receive our order confirmation by email. Please check that your details — especially your shipping address and phone number — are correct: we use them for delivery and customs.
If a piece turns out to be unavailable after you have ordered (for example because it was damaged before shipping), we will let you know and refund you in full within 14 days.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro (EUR). Italian VAT is not charged (see our Legal Notice, "Tax regime").
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination and the total weight of your order, and are shown before you pay.
For destinations outside the European Union, see section 6 on customs duties and import taxes.
We accept payment by credit and debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and PayPal. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (Squarespace Payments / Stripe and PayPal): we never see or store your full card details.
5. Shipping
We ship to the countries available at checkout.
Pieces in stock are packed and shipped within 5 working days of your order. You will receive an email with the tracking number when your parcel leaves the studio. Delivery times depend on the destination and the carrier, and are an estimate, not a guarantee.
Every piece is carefully packed to travel safely. The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the parcel is delivered to you (or to a person you have designated).
6. Customs duties and import taxes
Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs clearance fees charged by the destination country. These charges are not included in our prices or shipping costs and are paid by the customer, usually to the carrier on delivery. This also applies to orders to the United Kingdom: UK VAT and any carrier fees are paid on delivery.
If you refuse to pay these charges and the parcel is returned to us, we will refund the price of the goods, minus the return shipping costs charged to us by the carrier.
7. Damage in transit
If your parcel arrives damaged, please take photographs of the outer box, the packaging and the piece, and email them to giulio@giuliodesignstudio.com as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days of delivery. We will offer you a replacement (if available) or a full refund, at no cost to you.
8. Right of withdrawal (returns)
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery, without giving any reason. Full details and the model withdrawal form are on our Returns & Refunds page.
9. Legal guarantee of conformity
All consumers purchasing from us benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for 2 years from delivery, under Articles 128 and following of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005). If a piece has a defect that was present at delivery, please email us with a description and photographs; we will repair, replace or refund it as provided by law. We recommend reporting any defect within 2 months of discovering it.
Normal signs of the handmade process (small variations in glaze, colour or form) and damage caused by improper use or by not following the care instructions are not defects.
10. Workshops
Bookings for our workshops and events are services for a specific date and are governed by the conditions shown at the time of booking. The right of withdrawal does not apply to them (Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code).
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of the place where you live.
If something goes wrong, please write to us first at giulio@giuliodesignstudio.com: we will do our best to find a solution quickly.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page on the day you place the order.
